Deduping

By default, the ZoomInfo Salesforce application checks for duplicates prior to importing records. When importing Leads, Accounts, or Contacts ZoomInfo will examine all of your existing Leads and Contacts. Duplicates are identified so that you can update existing records and only import new records.

Please note: In all instances of duplicate identification, links can be clicked to access flagged Lead / Account / Contact profiles where ZoomInfo application can be leveraged to update data on demand.

Find More Contacts (Contact Import) Dedupe Logic

The following criteria is used for imports from the Find More Contacts feature accessed via the ZoomInfo application on the Account Page Layout to determine whether a record to be imported is a duplicate:

Leads & Contacts

  • Contact with same account id + same name – Match
  • Contact with same account id + same email – Match
  • Contact with same account id + same phone – Not Match (this case is tricky since many times contact’s phone is the company phone and it’s not unique enough)
  • Lead with same name + company name – Match. (this part can be configured in ZoomInfo Admin Custom Settings to not match if not needed)
