Settings Tab

The settings tab is where you can update rules, set your column mapping, and schedule jobs. Column mapping and rules can be set per object (Accounts, Contacts, and/or Leads).

Active checkbox

By selecting this checkbox, you are granting ZoomInfo Clean access to perform the scheduled Clean job on that particular object. Each object has its own checkbox. Deselecting the Active checkbox means that Clean will not perform the scheduled job against that particular object.

This textbox allows you to filter your Clean jobs based on object type. You can apply these filters using SOQL (Salesforce Object Query Language) queries. Once you have entered your WHERE clause, select validate to ensure this is applied.

The standard syntax for SOQL queries is as follows:

SELECT Id FROM Account WHERE Name = ‘Zoominfo’

The above query can be broken down into 3 clauses:

  • SELECT determines which fields we would like to return from the query (* means all)
  • FROM specifies which object we are querying from (i.e Account, Lead, Contact)
  • WHERE applies the filters so we are only returning records we are interested in.

To apply filters, we will be adjusting the WHERE clause. The syntax for the WHERE clause depends on the datatype of the fields we are filtering (i.e Text, Number, Checkbox, DateTime, Date). The datatype will determine the type of argument we pass, such as text or number or Date.

Sample WHERE clauses:

  • Filter by Lead Source:
    • LeadSource = ‘Zoominfo’
  • Filter by Created Date:
    • CreatedDate >= 2017-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Filter by Last Modified Date:
    • LastModifiedDate > 2017-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Filter by Record Owner:
    • Owner.Name = ‘Ryan Smith’
  • Filter by blank value in custom field:
    • Custom_Field__c = ‘’
  • Filter by Status
    • Status = ‘Open’

Column Mapping

In the column mapping, you can fully customize how ZoomInfo data is reflected in Lead/Account/Contact records in your Salesforce Instance.

1. Start by selecting the standard or custom Salesforce field you wish to write to, using the drop down menu in the left column.

2. Using the middle column, select the operation that best fits the type of job you are looking to run.

  • Map to ZoomInfo Field enables you to select a ZoomInfo data point
  • Do Not Import will ensure that this data will not be reflected in your Salesforce record
  • Provide value enables you to input a test value, integer, or select from a pre-defined pick list for that field.

3. In the right column, select the ZoomInfo column, or a specific input value you wish to map to your Salesforce.

4. Once the mapping has been configured, click Save.

Please note:

You can always revert to the 'out of the box' default configuration by clicking on the "Use Default Configuration" followed by the save button.

Mapping must be saved per object.

Please note:

Scheduling settings effect all objects. Meaning, whenever a job is scheduled, this job will run for Accounts, Leads, and Contacts. Each job will run Accounts, followed by Leads, and then Contacts.

You can only schedule one clean job.

Editing jobs: You can change the scheduling settings at any time for future jobs. However, the job will run based on the most recent mapping saved. If you intend to change the type of clean jobs run often, we recommend using the "Run Now" option.
