Enhance

Our Enhance tool allows you to fill in the blanks in your existing data with ZoomInfo contact information as well as important demographic and firmographic information. You can also use this feature to analyze your database to identify buyer personas and check the health of your database.

Uploading a File

1. Click Enhance in the left-hand navigation bar and then click the “Upload a list” button.
   
   
2. Choose whether to upload a list from your computer as a .csv file, or choose an existing list from My Lists.
    Note: If you choose from My Lists, you can find the list you are looking for by scrolling through your list or search using the “Search My Lists” box in the top right.
   
   
3. Name your list, add an optional description, and select if you wish to enhance contacts or companies
   Note: Not sure of the difference between enhancing contacts and companies? Visit the Enhance Fields section below to see what data we'll provide for each to determine the best option for your needs.
   
4. Map the ZoomInfo fields to the fields within your file.
   Note: The more information you provide on these files the better, and the fields are listed in priority order to provide a better match rate.
   
5. Select what you want included on your output file.
   1. Include all records in output file: Any contact/company we were able to match to will be included in the output file and you'll be charged a data credit for each.
   2. Filter records in output file: You can select requirement(s) for the contacts/companies in the output file. For example, you only want us to return people that have an email and direct phone number. Select 'All Fields' from the Require drop down and check off the data point(s) that need to be in the output file.
      
6. Once submitted, you'll receive an email notification when the file is processed. Return to Enhance and click on the list name to see what ZoomInfo was able to add/update to your existing data using Enhance Preview.
   

Enhance Preview

After a file is processed and you click on the list name within Enhance, you'll be brought to the Enhance Preview tab. This preview will provide important information regarding the health of your database and a breakdown of how ZoomInfo can help.

Within the Enhance Preview you'll be able to see:

1. Data quality score: A before and after score assigned to your original file and your new files based on correctness of fields, completeness of fields, consistency across fields for machine consumption, the currency of data available, and coverage of data available.
   
   
2. Input Data Quality: Shows what ZoomInfo was able to match from your original file, based on person match, company match, as well as any duplicates found, junk, and any data ZoomInfo does not have a match for.
   
   
3. Input Email Quality: Shows the percentage of emails ZoomInfo was able to verify. This is broken down by verified, unverified, bounced, and personal emails found within your file.
   
   
4. Targeting: This section shows a more detailed breakdown of everything that was updated within your original file. These changes are displayed by color which means something was added, corrected, normalized, confirmed, or unchanged.
   
   
   1. Added - You didn't have this information and we were able to provide it.
   2. Corrected - You had information but we had something different and were able to update.
   3. Normalized - You had information that was in different formats (i.e. Massachusetts vs MA) and we were able to change the information to ensure consistency across your data.
   4. Confirmed - You had the same information that we had so we confirmed it's up to date.
   5. Unchanged - We weren't able to match to the specific person/company to confirm the data so we didn't change any data points.

Data Profile

To understand the personas within your data, click on the data profile tab to see important firmographic and demographic information.
Pro Tip: use these personas and firmographic information to target net new contacts in Contact Search and companies in Company Search!

Previewing & Exporting Lists

To preview the list, simply click on the preview contacts button in the top right corner.

To export the list, you can click on the "Export List Now" button or Redeem from My Lists. You'll receive this list in a CSV format.
